Neighborhood Description: Ormewood Park is located just south of I-20, between Moreland Avenue (eastern boundary), East Confederate Avenue (southern boundary) and the train tracks that run from the Glenwood Connector down to East Confederate Avenue (western boundary).
There's lots of development taking place in Ormewood Park - side lots are being filled with new Craftsman style homes, the 25+ acre Glenwood Park developoment is well underway, and there are many signs of coming developments on Moreland Avenue.
The boundaries of this neighborhood were established by the City of Atlanta in the 1970s. Ormewood Park is one of the neighborhoods that form South Atlantans for Neighborhood Development - an association of neighborhoods that includes Woodland Hills, Boulevard Heights, Benteen Park and McDonough Guice.
